Director Karol Orzechowski presents:
“A look inside modern animal experimentation
with the animals who lived through it
and the people who walked away.“
Karol Orzechowski and I met during a CIUT Animal Voices radio interview in 2007, during which I described my struggle avoid live animal use during surgical training in my studies to become a veterinarian. During an interview on alternates to live animal training for veterinary medicine, Karol learned of a special little lab rat from my past, named Miss Peepers. I rescued Miss Peepers after she was used in a nutritional experiment, and grew emotionally attached to the life that would not otherwise be. Peepers was smart, active, social, and learned tricks! She kept me entertained during my undergraduate studies and helped me stay connected to my cause to end all suffering for animals.
Karol Orzechowski delves into many others humans and their experiences with animals in laboratories, and Maximum Tolerated Dose is the insightful, educated, and eye-opening result.
